Custom Pool Design & Construction

Luxury, outdoor living spaces.

Dream it. See it. Build it.
We love putting in pools for new construction homes to create a natural-looking swimming pool that will bring enjoyment to your home and family!

From excavation and putting the first shovel in the ground until the pool is filled and shot, we take the patience necessary to ensure your concrete / gunite pool will last for generations. The actual timeline depends on a number of variables including the complexity of the design, the pool deck, and the amount of finished landscaping. Even the type of plaster matters. Most projects take between three and six months from the start to the finished, filled, and usable pool.

How does the process work?
We begin with a consultation by phone or, for those who are certain they want to move forward, we will meet on-site. Whether you have a landscape architect / designer already or not, we will construct a comprehensive plan addressing all of these aspects:

  • Connection to your home
  • Elevations
  • Decking
  • Fencing
  • Landscape / hardscape

Every situation, every client is individual, and deserves to be approached this way. We will listen to your wants and needs, in addition to how you plan on using your residential pool. We’ll ask if you’ve had one before, and what you liked or did not like.

All these details will be compiled into a proposal where we will lay out all the different options. Unlike our competitors, we will make a line for each item, listing prices separately to show where your investment will go. We’ll even include different cleaning systems and finish options.

Phase 2: start planning early
We cannot underscore enough the importance of starting early. Most projects will begin excavation about a year from signing the contract. While this is a long lead-time, it gives plenty of opportunity to ensure we have all the pieces in place and are ready.

After any revisions you want, we’ll go under contract with a deposit and fit you into our existing project queue. The most important variable we want clients to understand is to plan ahead! Whether a new home or remodel, it’s imperative to start the contract and proposal process early. Though we get pieces in place early where possible, your project might begin about a year from signing the contract.

What can we do early? So many things like securing your permits. We can also select materials and place orders so we are not held up by the supply chain.

While we do what we can to promote efficiency, along the way, there are things we don’t have control over. Employee health (we prioritize taking good care of our team members!) and adverse weather are the biggest two unknowns.

Phase 3: finished result
We make every effort to get the shell shot in quickly once we start digging to avoid Mother Nature’s interference. Once the forms are stripped off, you’ll have a concrete hole in your backyard, and then we get to work on the rest of the details.

Piping is run. Utilities are put in. Waterline tiles are installed. Then we construct the pool decking and turn our attention to grading and landscaping your backyard after all the pool equipment is plumbed, installed, and wired in.

The very last thing to go in is your plaster, which is allowed to set up properly. Then we complete a thorough acid-cleaning, followed by immediately filling your inground pool with water. Don’t be worried if it doesn’t look like what you expected at this stage! During the first 30 days, the appearance will improve as we brush, treat, and get the chemicals right. Then it will take on the color you initially selected.

This doesn’t have to be a big, huge, complex project either; sometimes the nice, long, simple pools are classy and timeless in design.

What’s left? Only for you to enjoy using your pool and entertain your family and friends! Take a look at our Pool Services page to find out about how to navigate your first 30 days of pool ownership.
